Five airports, five different pickups
New York travelers use three large commercial airports and two that mostly serve private and business aviation. Each one changes how the pickup works, which roads the car takes and which vehicle makes sense, so each has its own page.
John F. Kennedy International (JFK) is in southeast Queens and handles most long-haul international flights. Terminal assignments have been changing, so confirm your terminal close to travel day. The Van Wyck Expressway and the Belt Parkway are the usual ways out.
LaGuardia (LGA) sits on Flushing Bay in northern Queens and is the closest of the big three to Midtown. Terminal B and Terminal C handle most flights, and the Grand Central Parkway leads to the RFK Bridge or toward the Queens-Midtown Tunnel.
Newark Liberty International (EWR) is in New Jersey, with Terminals A, B and C. Manhattan trips cross the Hudson through the Lincoln or Holland Tunnel, so the right tunnel depends on whether you are headed to Midtown or Downtown.
Teterboro (TEB) in Bergen County is a general aviation airport for private and charter jets. Pickups happen at the FBO where the aircraft parks, so the reservation needs the FBO name. Westchester County Airport (HPN) sits near White Plains and the Connecticut line and is often the easier choice for Greenwich, Stamford and northern Westchester.
What goes on an airport reservation
For arrivals: airline, flight number, terminal, the passenger's mobile number, how many checked bags, and whether you want a curbside or meet-and-greet pickup. Add child seats and any extra stops on the first submission rather than by phone on the day.
For departures: the pickup address with the building entrance, your flight time, and the number of bags. Share the flight time with dispatch and confirm the pickup time for your route, especially on weekday afternoons and holiday weekends.
How airport rides are priced
Airport transfers are quoted for the exact route rather than as a flat airport fare. Point-to-point transfers start at $130 in a sedan and $160 in an SUV, and tolls and parking appear on the quote. If the day also includes waiting or more stops, hourly service at $120 per hour for a sedan or $150 for an SUV, 3-hour minimum, can be the simpler booking.
Groups and heavy luggage go in a Sprinter, which starts at $200 per hour. The rates page lays out every class side by side.
If you can choose the airport
When a flight is available into more than one airport, the drop-off neighborhood matters more than raw distance. Downtown and West Side addresses often suit Newark through the Holland Tunnel. The Upper East Side and most of Queens often suit LaGuardia. Brooklyn and Long Island often suit JFK. Westchester and lower Connecticut often suit HPN.
NYC airport car service FAQs
Which airports does NYC Car Service cover?
JFK, LaGuardia (LGA), Newark Liberty (EWR), Teterboro (TEB) and Westchester County Airport (HPN), plus private aviation terminals in the region.
Why do you need my flight number?
The flight number lets the pickup follow the actual arrival, which matters when a flight lands early, late or at a different terminal than planned.
Can I choose curbside or meet-and-greet?
Both pickup styles are available. State your preference when you book and check that the confirmation shows it.
Which vehicle fits a family landing with luggage?
An SUV seats up to six with room for bags. A Sprinter suits larger groups or a lot of luggage. A sedan works for up to three travelers with light bags.
Are airport rides available very early or late at night?
Yes. Airport service runs 24/7 with scheduled reservations.
